Gift Guide for the Jet Setter

Gift Guide for the Jet Setter

Another gift guide coming in hot! I absolutely love travelling and Christmas is the best time to give or receive knick knacks for the plane or even big purchases like new luggage! I rounded up some of my favourite things here to make travelling a little easier and more enjoyable for you!

The basics: First thing on my wishlist this year is timeless luggage and these are my favourite brands right now. Away luggage (has a phone charger on it!) and BEIS by Shay Mitchell (which is gorgeous and has tons of compartments and organizing bags).

Before you leave, be sure to weigh your luggage to make sure you won’t have to take all your things out in front of the entire lineup and start stuffing your pockets (that’s a story for another time haha) I use a small hand-held scale . As for luggage tags, I always get plastic ones which are constantly breaking so I want this one from Matt and Nat oneday.

To be efficient: I use travel sized bottles and honestly, I got mine from the dollar store for like $3 and love them! I really want packing cubes (Amazon has some) for my clothes and to keep my shoes clean but I love this Lavender & Grace travel jewelry case for jewelry.

I have a passport holder from Matt & Nat and love it but this marble one and this one (comes in many colours) from Amazon have pockets to hold cards and tickets and a clasp so nothing falls out! Another MUST is a portable charger -I like this one because it’s thin, pink and holds 3 charges!

To be sanitary: When I first get on the plane, I use Well Kept sanitizing wipes and wipe down the seat and tray, then ask the attendant to fill up my water bottle. I ALWAYS try to drink a full water bottle on every flight- more if it’s a long one- to keep hydrated for my skin and energy. I love these collapsible ones I found from Que on Amazon but I know MEC has a variety of options too and are perfect for travelling!

To take care of your skin: A silk sleep mask to block out everyone’s lights and earplugs for crying babies! This is a limited edition bundle that comes with under eye masks and a sleep mask all for $30! Other under eye masks I love are by Peter Thomas Roth . And yes, I am that person who does her skincare routine in the airplane bathroom.

Compression socks!! I travel so much and cannot believe I haven’t worn these more often. Compression socks help prevent varicose veins and blood clotting while sitting for long periods of time. Mine are from Lululemon but I can’t find the link so here are some from Amazon that have great reviews!

I have been using Summer Friday’s Jet Lag mask for years now and love to leave on a nice layer to moisturize my skin while I’m up all night watching movies and Laneige lip balm is super moisturizing and perfect for lips during long, dry flights.

xx Marley
